American Idol

Am Idol Stats

  1. The person who made this site definitely has a bit too much time on their hands. That being said, some of the stats he put up were interesting to see. I especially thought the article discussing the "pimp-spot advantage" of singing last was interesting. It said that producers typically save the most entertaining contestants for last to keep people from tuning out before the show is over.

  2. The person who created the site gave interesting and valuable information for people who are fans of american idol. Yet, their choices of graphs weren't the best. I would have preferred to see more histograms and maybe bar graphs than the scatter plots or other graphs. The ones they have now are confusing and the only one that was fairly well done was the bar graph on how many votes the girls were up,

  3. One interesting (and not good) fact is that season 12 has much lower ratings than the other seasons.

  4. The person who created this site is definitely providing some inaccurate predictions. Although the numbers are calculated to make predictions, they don't make sense. Talent-wise, it was agreed across the country that out of the top 4 contestants, Amber was the one who should go home. However, the website predicted that Amber would be in the top 2. Instead of using just numbers, the person should have also considered judge's opinions, audience reactions and overall performance.

  5. one fascinating fact is that this season was watched by less people than any of the other seasons. the person who made this i belioeve should have taken the judges' opinions in mind because amber is not in the top two. it makes because America did like her to stay in the top four.

  6. It was interesting to observe the trend that throughout a season, ratings normally went up by the end. This would make sense, because many people wish to avoid the auditions and earlier rounds, but start watching once the show has reached its top 10 contestants. However, it was also interesting to view that during a couple seasons, ratings went down by the end. This could suggest that viewers lost interest, or because their favorite contestants got eliminated earlier on.
